Plain-brown Woodcreeper - The Plain-brown Woodcreeper (Dendrocincla fuliginosa), is a passerine bird which breeds in the tropical New World from Honduras through South America to northern Argentina, and in Trinidad and Tobago.

Plain Antvireo - The Plain Antvireo, Dysithamnus mentalis, is a passerine bird in the antbird family. It is a resident breeder in tropical Central and South America from southern Mexico south to northern Argentina, and on Trinidad and Tobago.

Altiplano - The Altiplano (Spanish for high plain), where the Andes are at their widest, is the most extensive area of high plateau on earth outside of Tibet. It is an area of inland drainage lying in the central Andes, occupying parts of Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru.

Pampa - The Pampas (from Quechua, meaning "plain") are the fertile South American lowlands that include the Argentine provinces of Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santa Fe, and Córdoba, most of Uruguay, and the southernmost end of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, covering more than 750,000 km² (290,000 square miles). These vast plains are only interrupted by the low Ventania mountain range near Bahía Blanca (Argentina), with 1,300 m height.
